BAE Systems Ship Repair honored 112 suppliers during a virtual ceremony for achieving "outstanding results last year in key areas including overcoming COVID-19 challenges, exceeding quality metrics, and achieving the best cost-reward relationships."
The recognition program, called "Partner2Win," represents a collaborative effort among shipyards in Jacksonville, Norfolk, and San Diego, plus their broader naval and commercial repair network.
NSC Technologies of Portsmouth, Virginia received the top honor as Subcontractor of the Year for Ship Repair. The company provides temporary staffing services that help shipyards manage workload fluctuations. Vallen Distribution of Belmont, North Carolina earned Maintenance, Repair and Operations Supplier of the Year recognition for dependable delivery performance.
Additional gold award recipients included East Coast Repair & Fabrication, Central Radio Company, Pacific Tank Cleaning, Advantage Promotions, Fairbanks Morse, Collins Machine Works, and Bay Metals and Fabrication across various categories. The ceremony distributed 49 gold, 42 silver, and 21 bronze awards total.
